GW Fins is hosting a fundraising dinner for YEP NOLA (the Youth Empowerment Project) on June 10th. YEP is a wonderful local organization that provides education, mentoring, employment readiness and enrichment programs to more than 1,200 underserved young people each year. They also provide summer camp for their program participants.
This year, however, they have not come up with the funding to support summer camp for all of the kids in their program, so we are trying to raise the funds needed through this dinner and would greatly appreciate your support.
The summer program is so much more than just a fun time for kids to enjoy activities (of course that is part of it) – it’s a place that they can count on a nutritious meal, an educational environment and structure that will help these at-risk children from dropping out of the educational system.
We hope you will join us for the fabulous five-course menu that GW Fins’ Executive Chef Michael Nelson has created. The courses, which are each paired with a wine or a cocktail, include dishes such as Chilled Melon Soup with Kaffir lime, hot chili, and pickled shrimp and Crab Stuffed Squash Blossom with Herb and radish salad and pepper jelly. The cost is $200 per person, including tax and gratuity and 100% of the food and wine proceeds will go directly to YEP’s Summer Camp Program.
To reserve your seat please call us at 504.581.3467. Thanks so much for your support!
